On the 18th November 2021 Key Risk Consulting Asia sponsored a British Malaysia Chamber of Commerce Webinar entitled “Conducting Effective and Professional Internal Investigation”. Mr Robert Youill, Founder & Executive Director of Key Risk Consulting Asia presented to a wide-ranging audience with subscribers viewing the broadcast from Malaysia, the UK, as well as from other parts of Europe and Asia. The initial opening by Robert was followed by a panel discussion session involving Mr. Ashok Sarangapani – Key Risk Consulting Strategic Consultant, Corporate Governance, Finance & Anti-Bribery Management Coordinator and Ms Christina Wang – Key Risk Consulting Asia Legal Advisor & Project Leader (China) and Senior Partner @ Universal Law Office- Shanghai China
The main component of the event focused on how organisations – large and small can and should prepare themselves for conducting effective internal investigations. The presenter and the panellists discussed fundamental issues of what an organisation should and should not do in the event the need for an internal investigation arises with a focus on ethical and legal restrictions to the investigation process.
